My brother-in-law is applying for a Product Manager role at a company that uses Rails, and he wants to learn a bit more about our beloved framework.

What resources would you recommend for non-developers?

‘No deploy Fridays’ doesn’t apply to server and deploy-tooling migrations, right?

For the past couple of months, I’ve reserved the end of my workday in three 30-minute slots on my calendar. These are ‘open door’ slots that anyone I work with can book. This approach makes it easy for others to reach me while preserving my mornings for focused work. I highly recommend it!

Today I developed a new skill: typing with both hands while holding my son in my arms.
