Seems about right.
A patch of Fen at night. The photo is mostly black with a small bit of foliage lit up by a torch. It is kind of spooky. Don't know if I will be spooked to death, slip down the bank into the (invisible here but very much there) river or put my foot in a hole and fall over, breaking a bone in a fatal manner or a manner liable to lead to fatality. All of these are possible. I am dicing with death walking along there in the pitch black.

Not sure how I managed a double exposure with a phone camera, but there we are.
Double exposure of a transmission tower (same one as always) backlit by a pre-dawn sky. The two exposures are noticeably offset.

Hermitage Moorings at low tide - a number of Dutch barges, klipperaak, former light vessels and other historic vessels moored at a pontoon. It is low tide so a broad mud flat is visible between the Wapping wall and the river Looking upriver from the gangway down to Hermitage Moorings, with the quay wall on the right, the river and the moorings on the left and Tower Bridge in the distance.

A very small steam engine. Cylinder is about an 8mm bore and a 23mm stroke (roughly). Makes a frantic clacking noise. This one doesn't have a whistle, but my other one does - that is quite shrill once you have a head of steam up.

It is only furry because it needs a good clean.
Very small static steam engine with the cylinder mounted on one side of the boiler and the flywheel on the other. The funnel is skeuomorphic as it runs on a meths burner placed under the boiler and the steam vents through the cylinder or (in an emergency) through the pressure release valve on the top of the boiler. The flywheel has a small drive wheel attached, which is how I would link it to a mythical hurdy gurdy.

Idiot in running kit squinting into the sun. There is blue sky with a single wispnof cloud and a closed level crossing behind. View from inside a car parked in a farmyard with some other cars. You can't see much for the rain. The wind isn't visible in the photo, but it is there.

Second concert of the weekend was a bit different to the first. Ely Youth Choir had no songs starting 'This place stinks of old wars, subservience, semi final defeats, God and flags...'
Interior of St Peter's Church, Ely, showing its double-coved rood screen erected 1893 by Sir Ninian Comper. 3 by 3 bays either side of central opening, the outer bays boarded and decorated with stencilled emblems. Open bays each with 3-Light open Decorated tracery. Central entrance with 7-cusped arch. Tierceron ribbed coving east and west rising to cornice with fleurons (east side) or running foliage trail (west side). Panelled parapet with cusped ogee tracery heads. Rood with Christ on Cross flanked by St Mary and St John. One standing angel right and left. Roof has arched braces to collars alternating on wall posts and corbels. Y -braces from collars to principals. 2 tiers of butt purlins and ridge piece, and 2 tiers of arched windbracing.

Out last night to see @benefitstheband.bsky.social supported by @danlesac.bandcamp.com Both were absolutely phenomenal and this tour is HIGHLY recommended (although that's the second time Kingsley has pointed at me to say 'Pawn your clarinet'. I won't do it!)
The band Benefits on a tiny stage. Robbie, in a white t-shirt saying Still Hate Thatcher, looks at the ceiling whilst twisting the knobs on a small synth. On the other side of the stage, Kingsley shouts/screams/sings (shcrings?) into a microphone and waves his fist in the air. The photo cannot convey the awesome wall of noise they are producing. It lifted my kilt and made my kneecaps bounce. Dan Le Sac producing some amazing beats on a tiny stage. A properly charming performance.

So I went for a run today (with @benefitstheband.bsky.social - third fastest run since my op. Recommend Constant Noise as a running album). There was a #heron, some boats and some autumnal action.

A grey heron stood on the bank of a cutting just astern of a small cabin cruiser, most of which is out of shot. Black and white photo of a narrow boat, bow on, hauled out of the water on a patent slip Some leaves floating on the river. The light is odd and while the river is very still, the camera man is a bit shaky so there is a little movement. One of those photographic accidents that I quite like.
