Having me walk two or three steps in a small room when I always tell them that I lose my balance worst on uneven ground and in large spaces (I get disoriented and can’t tell where my feet are on the ground) is no way for them to judge how I really walk! It’s so frustrating!

I’m a fall risk too even though a couple doctors insisted because I could take three steps in a small room that I walk fine.
Friends, I do not walk fine and have face planted even with my forearm crutch. I trip over walkers and rollators. I am a hazard to myself.

When my child was young we had an oven that cooked unevenly. It always burnt half the Christmas cookies. So I’d eat them. It used to upset kiddo who said I deserved unburnt cookies. But I ate them anyway saying “it’s what moms do!” 🤣

Thank you for this. It’s getting to the time of year that I lost my sister (between Christmas and New Year’s) and also my grandfather when I was a kid. That and have been thinking of my Dad a lot because he used to join us for Thanksgiving.

Hanging in there, thank you. 2025 has been a hard year and I’ll be glad to see it go. Hoping some long standing family stress might be resolved next year. Fingers crossed.
