If you want dialogue on human atrocity and criminal justice to ascend beyond "politics," then this can only happen when you engage in good faith. Donald Trump, the currently civilly liable for SA and alleged Jeffrey Epstein client is guilty of BOTH of these things between BOTH his terms, and your indignance others you politically oppose while too chickenshit to criticize the people in office you hold favor over isn't the flex you think it is.

And, to this, it remains as so because it is all this façade of a country has left in its performance in the eyes of the world as the "shining city on the hill," where in 2025, whites and generationally compromised POC can congregate and shout how great we are while reinforcing white supremacy.

It's a holiday dressed in platitudes of family and togetherness, shrouded in large part by corporatists to further acquiesce to white people in the nation's long-winded M.O. of erasing the genocidal horrors that colonials committed unto the indigenous people that were here first.

I suppose we can answer this question for ourselves at some point or another. All I know is that there's gotta be a time when all the superficial Western ideals and machinations and façades come down so we can really face who, what, where, and why we and things are, for all our sakes. 😑

It's why I don't go to church, or really why I don't even see the world the way I used to. Even on Christmas or July 4 when we're supposed to be celebrating "freedom" and looking at fireworks, you have to look at where we are as a society, as a country and ask yourselves "What does any of it mean?"

Interesting. I can just see all the Canadian biker gangs getting into some of the nicest and most polite street battles we'll ever see in any action franchise. 😄
