Pretty disappointed in @jimlee.bsky.social cowardice in the face of hate.

Time to take down the signed poster in my office and put something better in its place.

“I wonder when a game using a joycon mouse will show up on the Switch 2”

*opens the SNES app*

“Oh yeah!”

I’m so ready to get back to some Mario Paint

Part of a new project arrived today, eager for the weekend to bring this to life. Time to work on a slower mini computer instead of these fancy new micros.

This image in particular makes me smile, especially remembering the plans for DS2+Gaikai that I got to work on from both sides for a bit before that acquisition.

Part of Christmas Eve here was watching the Lower Decks series finale.

Such a great show, and very much amused at Paul Tompkins dressing up like this in the crew video from The Ready Room.

Ivory had a nice feature on Mastodon I wish also worked here. When folks share a news article, it clearly shows the published date. Here’s an example from my feed today

If I ever pivot out of game dev, I can always start a side gig as a part time Apple Store. I’ve got enough dongles and adapters to assemble monstrosities like this. Need your iPhone 15 to charge your 30 pin iPod? No problem!

It takes an amazing creative director to bring a wonderful kid friendly world to life. @laralyn.bsky.social did so with kindness and grace. Was great working alongside her in the final development stretch to ship Free Realms. We chuckled at some of the final bugs fixed, like CatTruck here.

I could be playing games, but instead my mind decided it was tired of debugging modern code during the work week and instead wanted to debug Java 1.4 code in a 2003 OS and IDE.

Oh yeah, happy 30th Myst.

It along with Maniac Mansion inspired a young me to create my first HyperCard and adventure games at the school computer lab. All while playing through the game on relatives computers that had those fancy new CD-ROM drives before I had one at home.
