Furfrou was actually the first pokemon I deliberately shiny hunted! I'm a big fan. Also hunted Noibat and Weedle around the same time so I'd have some cool mons for ORAS's release.
There's a good spot later in the game that has a good number of Furfrou- might be a good spot.

I've gotta dedicate time to reading it from the start sometime. I just kinda hopped in close to or maybe right after the fogbound lake arc- around the time I joined tumblr after it was clear twitter was a sinking ship.
