IDK if this is a compliment per se, but when I worked retail I had a boss tell me I shouldn't pursue a woman I had a crush on because she was out of my league (she was).
1 yr later. I no longer work there. I came in to the store and he saw me with said woman on my arm. He stared at me in disbelief.

We were in one of those towns today and I saw this old, weathered dude come into the bakery we were in. He was wearing a “Every day is Saturday” t shirt and was clearly a regular there, the stafff knew him by name. I watched him amble out with his bag of pastry and thought to myself LIFE GOALS.
