Not sure if it was this one, but a friend of mine had a Philips phone which took AA batteries.

Would love to hear a comic being asked “do you think you were phenomenally lucky to be able to build your reputation during a time that encouraged and rewarded creative freedom? And why do you think that stopped?” And NOT answer “humans outside my core audience started objecting to being bullied.”

Anyway, that’s when I’d started realising that Kay, of whom I had been a big fan, might be a cunt.

What has to be avoided is letting special cases be used by bad actors to try to undermine the whole tax for their own, less deserving, benefit. Don't let them pretend (for example) that everyone with a £2m house is a poor granny with a bad back and tiny income... 3/3

Amazing stuff. I think I also sent my mum/nan/auntie combo to Forbidden Planet in Manchester to look for a Judge Dredd comic I wanted, on their annual Christmas shopping trip.

Either there or HMV. I remember once that my mum was going into town with her sisters and my Nan, and I gave her £8 in change and pestered her to go to Our Price and pick up THE WONDERFUL AND FRIGHTENING WORLD. The thought of her dragging my nan and my aunties round looking for it makes me laugh.

The first Fall album I bought, aged 16, and still one of my favourites.

Candy’s ‘Wilmaaaa!’ over the exterior shot of the bus, one of the funniest pieces of editing ever.

Already seeing them complaining about 'polluters', as if their batteries are charged by magical fucking pixie dust.

Imagining the track listing of a US indie label's sampler album from 1991.
