"You need to stop being challenging to be around" needs to get thrown into the garbage.

I think the worst thing about all that's happened is that no one in that group has really reached out to me in the year since to even listen to my side of things.

I generally advise AGAINST Firefox forks because they'll be slower to adopt security patches but if you must, choose one who is quick to adopt security patches.
