any time I see my music written about in a way that I know it has truly connected with someone, it brings me a deep sense of pride that doesn't quite feel like any other emotion
a review of Everson Poe's album "enough is a myth" by meadow wyand. "I’ll be honest, I hadn’t seen David Bruckner’s remake of Hellraiser until after hearing this album, upon which it is based. More than anything on this list, Enough is a Myth feels like a journey, a well-crafted start-to-finish through hell. Poe’s nightmarish soundscapes exquisitely echo the film’s themes of bodily exploration and physical trauma. With a super gnarly bass tone recalling both Peter Steele and Kim Gordon, the way Mae Shults uses bass to achieve the album’s heaviness is smart. It fills so much space with so little and growls harder than five layered guitars. This leaves room for the post-punk guitar lines over the gorgeous Tristanian doom of “v. lazarus” or phenomenally cool synths in the John Carpenter-esque “iii. laudarant.” Probing the sensory experience of the listener through Simonetti and Samael, this is a work that feels truly cinematic."

finally got in a good mood last night after making my soup for Erica, then caught my foot on her ottoman and fucked up my left big toe and fell on my knee and wrist

I had a really hard/bad day yesterday and cried a lot

I got in bed before 1 but didn't fall asleep til 3 because my brain was being mean
