He’s got a real nice resume

This is actually his first full TAB tour. He filled in for James for a few shows in 2022 so he’s been around for a bit, but full band TAB has mostly been dormant.

Pink tie-dye one was great. I retired from band tees for a few min there, but I’ve been back on the wagon hard 😂

Is it the yellow pocket tee one? Because that’s the one I severely regret not grabbing 😭

The song selection is kind of whatever to me. Trey wrote all those songs, he should play them in whatever band he wants. But I sorely miss when TAB was actually experimental like they were in the 01-03 era.

It’s a great night of grooving now, but it used to be balls to the wall big band madness.

#1 is the utmost fire. Regretting not getting a specific shirt last night but I hate long merch lines. I done messed up.

He had a handshake deal with ownership. Criminal offense, IMO.

Jameis is electric.

A few other cool tidbits about this show from Shapiro’s show notes…

- Was Sue Drew’s first Phish show, the A&R rep who signed them to Elektra.

- First show under the “Ron Delsener Presents” banner. A legendary promoter who really championed Phish’s rise & instrumental to the MSG relationship.

I certainly might have missed something but for those first 20min or so I was scanning socials and didn’t see anything.

Seems like it was truly a last minute thing. Hopefully all is well with him and the fam, most importantly!

Don’t get me wrong, Elkington crushed it, and I love all his work. But there was no announcement made prior and the band didn’t say anything until like 25-30min into the set so it was just super confusing at first.

It was a shared drive that dropped in late 00s with easy download access to basically every Phish show ever.
