Oh absolutely — but for how long? The disconnect between performance and share price always settles back to reality. Musk has pulled rabbits from hats before, but this time he’s doing it under the harsh glare of collapsing sentiment and China’s blistering ascent. That’s a different storm entirely.

Stunning market decline by Tesla in EU and kinda sad. Musk definitely not looking out for shareholders and company imo.

We do know. Modern EVs aren’t using 2011 tech. Huge leaps in BMS, thermal management, chemistry & pack design are why failure rates fell from 8.5% to 0.3%. Early EVs aged badly because the tech was primitive. Today’s packs are built for 15–20+yrs. Assuming they’ll fail the same is outdated thinking.

“BUT CHINA!” never mention per-capita reality: China still emits half of what the US does per person. And they’re the only major economy actually bending the curve—building more solar in a year than the US in a decade, electrifying transport, crushing costs. China’s moving. The West is stalling.

Any oil giant that didn’t see the renewable wave coming wasn’t “poorly advised” — they were too busy sniffing their own fumes. They mocked solar, ignored batteries, and now act shocked the world picked electrons over dinosaurs. They don’t deserve sympathy — just a museum plaque. #RIPOIL 🙏 🪦
