Are you tempted to ask a stranger to provide an accounting of how they live their life? Have you considered maybe don’t?

We live in a hellscape. Everyone is struggling. If seeing someone else eke out a tiny bit of joy among the horrors upsets you, may I recommend therapy?

Is someone celebrating a holiday with different traditions than the ones you think are best? Who cares? Leave them alone! You can still celebrate them your way! If you need help identifying a real problem, read any newspaper!

I watched my husband turn purple on Thanksgiving as his lungs failed. He died five days after Christmas. I can’t stop my brain from having nightmares but the pretty lights and decorations help me power through this season for the kids. Why is it an issue for you how I decorate the inside of my home?

Lol. I already finished Christmas shopping and paid off the credit card! My brain can be a real nightmare this time of year so I’ve learned to do it all early so it’s done!

I most most often hear “failed marriage” in the context of divorce. This seems to suggest to me that merely remaining married constitutes a successful marriage but there seems to me to be too many deeply unhappy married couples for this to be correct.
