It’s one of those songs with a story. There’s the main song and then there’s Abel’s rock part and then there’s Alastor pulling uno reverse on Rosie and finally bringing practically all the overlords together.

As for Alastor, he has many trust issues and it’s easy to see why. Emily saving was the first time someone did something for him genuine without obligation or wanting something. You can’t grasp what you never had before. And I feel like Alastor is against it because he never had love.

It’s not clarified if Charlie knows Lucifer can’t harm sinners but now that we know, we see why he doesn’t try to do anything with them and it’s understandable to ignore them. Maybe he has tried redemption before for them but was shot down and then completely gave up. He’s not the king we need yet.

We have to wait for season three to explore more of their backstory but for Lucifer I can sympathize more because I remember having depression and constantly forgetting shit. The man is older than time but also has a lot in the past. I’m not babying him but understand him now that he has a flaw.

Well that’s other people but not me if you remember reading my last comment and not skim it. No character in the show is without fault. But for this season a lot of people are coming hard on Charlie because of her actions and how she presents herself. For Lucifer, we don’t know much about him yet.

Charlie has been using redemption for the wrong reasons. When she found out it happened, her response was feeling self validated and she cared more about being right.

She needs to learn to listen and not force the acceptance of redemption before understanding it. She still doesn’t know how it works

Alastor doesn’t seem like the racist type. He seems like he doesn’t bother with anyone unless something is done to him or he wants something.

But for dogs, I can see him being uncomfortable around hellhounds and sinners until he cares to know them (a rarity).

Yeah in the flashback when he died, our hellcanon came true how he was killed like prey during hunting season and dogs were there. So I would say he wouldn’t like dogs.

Nah I’m calling bullshit on Charlie. It’s not even just about Luci and Al. She has the tendency to say she cares rather than show it. She also ignores people’s feelings and concerns while falling for her own hubris.

I can’t say I hate Charlie, but she hasn’t earned redemption yet herself.
