They definitely are way more affordable. I’ve only used mine for going to one of me nbd meetings or go to Mill St. But that’s it for now… let know how you do as you replace more trips! I’m still a bit scared to bike in places w no bike lanes 😭

Force them to tell you why their “alternatives” make sense.
CRBs aren’t panacea. But, at minimum, they add a layer of accountability that right now is left in the internal hands of the city manager, chief of police and internal affairs.

But does this mean folks shouldn’t organize? Heck no. The opposite. Make them say why they’re against it. Expose the flaws & contradictions in their statements.

They get framed by the current newspaper as the voice of reason. That's an issue. This is a state-funded project and it will go on as planned & hopefully incorporating important feedback from reasonable people. What truly sucks is the most reactionary voices got a platform--one of whom by the way

No, they're arguing FOR THEIR OWN CONVENIENCE. Some of the folks I heard will probably NEVER even use that stretch of Pleasant Street. You know how I know? They hold a small window of existence that does not stretch beyond the street they live in. But, they act as though their concern extends
