A) This is hilarious.

B) I'm getting tired of all the "har har gambling the fix is in" replies to moments like these. I despise the gambling flood as much as you do, but pro athletes have been tripping over their own feet for a century.

I'd like to think it hasn't been made yet.

But knowing me, probably Kirby's Pinball Land or some shit like that.
what's the game that you're going to replay endlessly when you're living in an elder care facility? and you'll be insisting to everyone that it's still the greatest game ever?

Not only is Super Mario Bros. 2 a "real" Mario game, but also there's some credible evidence that Doki Doki Panic began as a potential sequel to Super Mario Bros. 1.
There’s Super Mario DNA in Doki Doki Panic — Thrilling Tales of Old Video Games
And becoming Super Mario Bros. 2 was just a return to its roots.

Sometimes you enjoy someone's posts that are reposted into your feed, and you think "I should follow them", and you do, and it turns out that that is a Different Experience.

No hard feelings! You're just kind of a curmudgeon half the time!

Hi, it's me, the guy deeply distrustful of anything properly called "upscaling", AI or not.

(And no, going back and scanning the original source with a higher resolution is remastering, not upscaling. Hmph.)

It's such a funny detail that

A) male Starfleet officers all had the same pointy sideburns in Star Trek TOS as a little futuristic touch, and

B) they kept doing it for any male (and the occasional female) Starfleet officer with human-ish hair for the next 40 years.

Lottery tickets = gambling

Lottery tickets with pictures of anime characters on them = NOT gambling

(Sorry, I just encountered this take yet again and there's a chance they're doing a bit so I'm releasing my response into the wild instead.)

It's weird to follow someone on here who posts and engages here regularly and then discover that A) they still also post on Twitter and moreso B) they post stuff over there they don't post over here.

(This is about one person in particular, but who they are doesn't matter.)

You know, even in my most optimistic moments, I don't expect a majority of these people and institutions to face consequences.

I'd just like to hope that we could at least remember. That we could remember "oh yeah, they worked with Trump" 20, 40 years from now.

And one more other thing I’m seeing now, that Northwestern unsurprisingly didn’t mention in its statement, effectively banning gender affirming care at NU school of medicine

This post brought to you (today) by the cowardly shitheads at Northwestern University.
Children are humans. Children's rights are human rights.

Children don't become a gender when they turn 18. To restrict gender affirmation to adults is to say that children don't deserve health care, don't feel pain, don't have a self. It is barbaric and inhuman.

The trick is that I don't want to read quotes of Trump's social media posts or whatever, but it is sometimes helpful to know, for instance, "he said a slur again" because it provides context for other news.

I followed a labeler that shows when accounts post a lot, or without many breaks, and it has shown me ... that there are many valid reasons for accounts to do that.

Like "they were watching a parade" or "they are a newspaper".
