Maybe it's just the timing of this post but now I'm picturing Alanis and Katy in a Christmas song battle for Justin's love.
Guys, I’m not sure Alanis truly did wish nothing but the best for them both

Loook...

I don't give a shit about Katy Perry or Justin Trudeau.

All I'm saying is that if you made a movie about a former prime minister and former pop star falling in love, set it at Christmas, and then put that shit on Netflix, Jess and I would crush two bottles of wine watching it and love it.

I'm saving watching it until after the holidays (so many Christmas movies, so little time) but I'm sooooo happy that Heated Rivalry is doing well. Loved the books so much.
There are lots of reasons why Heated Rivalry is already incredibly successful, but they include the fact that many of the characters have absolutely no chill, openly yearn for what (and who) they want, and everyone is off-the-charts hot, including the Asian Canadian guy with autistic traits.

Yesterday, a M7.0 earthquake struck the Alaska-Canada border, directly beneath the Hubbard Glacier. Aftershocks reveal an unmapped fault in this already complex area.

Read our post for more, & also:

What happens when a fault offsets a glacier?
Is the glacier named after one of my ancestors?

Before I go on Etsy, are there any laid-off game artists in my follower/repost pool who would be available for a custom DnD party art commission? Four characters, a few special requests, preferably by Christmas? DM me! I have money!

The Canucks in-house dj just played a song about Travis Kelce’s dick while a minor league hockey team was playing during the intermission. That’s… a choice.

Did you feel shaking in Yukon at 1:41 p.m. MST today? That was a M7 #earthquake near the seismically active YK-AK border and 250 km to the west of #Whitehorse.
Shaking was felt across much of Yukon and southeastern AK.

Wait, I didn't think of this as an option! I would absolutely home swap my BC Place-adjacent apartment for an apartment in any of these countries.
I need to stop watching live sporting events. It never ends in happy feelings.

Related: we're looking for a family from either Switzerland, New Zealand, or Belgium to swap places during the World Cup.

So people with media/culture criticism gigs who are writing or talking about Heated Rivalry right now: please, if you have never picked up a romance novel before, I'm begging you, either close-read at least a dozen from different subgenres, or pass the critique baton to somebody who has.

Seems like a good day for another plea to use Alt Text and in particular to use proper names.
Please please please use proper names in Alt Text. No cutesy nicknames for evil monsters, no asterisks in place of vowels. Let the mute words do their thing.

Workers keep us moving. We need to invest in our city and its services, and we need great people working for our city to do that.

Bad news, it’s so close to the sidewalk you need to use 0.5 and also almost back up into traffic on Georgia to get a photo with all the letters in it 😅

Only rumours and hearsay right now, but apparently there were many non-unionized layoffs at the City today with no notice and immediate lock-out. If you're trying to reach someone specific at the city and can't, this might be the reason.
