I originally thought Gausman was the perfect comp for Cease in the couple years leading up to free agency (3.30/3.31 FIPs in 354/357 innings) but Ray is the slightly better comp overall, and I find it funny that those were the guys who the Jays essentially made the choice between four years ago.
