Burton also wrote the foreword. The author, Douglas V. Duff was what we call a "colourful" character. Served in the Royal Navy in WW1 before becoming a monk. Abandoned that to join the Black and Tans in Ireland, then the Palestine Police. Ended up as a regular on the TV panel show "What's My Line?"

Yes, but the direct comparison doesn’t make total sense because the Corbynite brand of antisemitism and the Faragist brand of antisemitism are really different. The general point I agreed with.

No, the point was that there are wildly different kinds of antisemitism tha play out differently in different kinds of political context. That was all, really.

The two things are obviously related. Racism is very often defined as racism (particularly when it comes to specific vocabularies or terms) because of the associated meanings. That's pretty obvious, isn't it? If it helps, I don't believe that Polanski is prejudiced in this regard whatsoever.

I tend to react a bit because I try to be pretty consistent on this one (to my cost today!). Antisemitism is bad whether it's Corbyn, Mosley, Livingstone, Farage, Faulds, Johnson, Trump, or, god forbid, Green Party members.
