Misinformation is the greatest threat we face: it allows the powerful to manipulate the gullible into doing their bidding.

Staggering - the effort and resource *still* being invested in keeping the Brexit shitshow on the road.
No one’s held to account.
No one’s fallen on their sword.
No one’s got the guts to really speak out.
So, on we go, protecting this huge and ruinous lie, because telling the truth is too difficult.

The calls from America this weekend to "abolish the EU" are for one simple reason: the EU is the only thing that can keep European nation-states from becoming Russian or American vassals.
The US has declared rhetorical war on the EU
The calls from America this weekend to destroy the EU are revealing. They hate the union because it's the only thing that can keep European countries from being Russian or American vassals.

"The battle for the world rule of Russians" has not ended.
A Dugin, 1997.

Other highlights:
The UK should be cut off from the EU.

Russia should "introduce geopolitical disorder into US activities; ethnic, social, and racial conflicts, supporting extremist, racist, and sectarian groups.

Russia should "introduce geopolitical disorder into internal American activity, encouraging all kinds of separatism and ethnic, social, and racial conflicts …destabilizing internal political processes in the U.S. … and simultaneously to support isolationist tendencies in American politics"

Trump’s new strategy is exactly that of Russia, which is the same as that of Reform, which is the same as that of all the new fascist parties of Europe, all of which can be financially linked to Russia.
Read Dugin circa 1995 and you’ll see the policy explained in detail

People should note that Voloshyn tried to disguise Gill’s bribes as ‘media payments’

Do we know how much Farage received for his regular appearance on RT/Russia Today around the time of Brexit?
Three more British MEPs in Nigel Farage’s bloc now alleged to have “followed the script” given to Nathan Gill by an alleged Russian asset, according to prosecutors.

At least eight UKIP and Brexit Party MPs were focus of efforts by Nathan Gill

Well that's not a surprise, Trump's presidency has seen tough challenges for Ukraine and a loss of territory - all of which seems linked to the Trump admin switching off critical support for the nation

The Kremlin has heaped praise on Donald Trump’s latest anti-EU national security strategy, calling it an encouraging change of policy that largely aligns with Russian thinking.

For clarity, this is not a good thing.

This is the key - media ownership.
Governments are now terrified of media owners as media owners choose governments, rather than holding governments to account.
They snatched up the fourth pillar of democracy and turned it into rubble.

This quote explains the rise of the right so clearly, whichever country you are in and whichever groups you’re talking about. The banking crash, Putin’s war, UK Brexit and the pandemic, made (the majority of) people poorer and now we find scapegoats and to hell with the consequences.
The only explanation of KKKrump's popularity...“If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.”

This list of top stories on the Guardian’s website really struck me. With the obvious couple of exceptions, they all point to a right-wing shift in UK and US politics: Placating Putin, interference in judicial process, racist comments from political leaders and a failure to tax the wealthy.

Preventing local species extinction is often relatively simple. In the UK it is to do with changing the grazing regime, changing when we cut our grass, not felling trees, looking at different ways of trimming our hedges. Farmers won’t do any of this without strong government encouragement though.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1
