This means that the wolf is now officially « in danger of extinction » and will be especially protected. Previously the wolves were considered visitors and the species « extinct » (though still protected).

#fire. The wind has turned, blowing the smoke back towards us. Photos from 1300 and 1830. The fire has now burnt 16km2, the greatest area destroyed this century.
