vesshia's spent too much of her life being the prey. she refuses to be it again.

The great sword provides her something to lean against as she moves to stand again. The briefest reprieve given how heavy her arms weigh in this moment but Vesshia cannot let herself linger. Not when she's called upon to fight, defend, protect. It's not her first choice of weapon, an ill-suited size for her given it was not hers to start with, but it's all she's got in this moment, and she'll be damned if she falls here.

A heavy smoke that clouded up her senses, made it hard to breathe and even harder to see. She'd pushed her way into the house, past the Yellowjackets, past the neighbours who'd tried to stop her. Her sister was somewhere here and she'd find her. Or she'd go down with her.
