In my direct circle I know of no first time mother who has not been reduced to tears over this, at least once.
Most again on the second child.
Because it's not at all abnormal to have issues, or any number of concerns/reasons, and... it's just insane the pressure on this, of all things.

As a Canadian, I don’t understand it! I’m in Ont & my pay health premium though annual income tax. Cost abt $600 paid thru payroll taxes. This year alone I’ve had brain surgery, 4 CTs & an MRI, along with countless appts with top doctors. I’ve only ever had to pay for parking. It should be normal!

I’ve seen universal healthcare work in Europe and those Europeans have it so good. California is the only state that comes close to being as advanced as the European Union and advanced Asian countries. Thank you @governor.ca.gov @gavinnewsom.bsky.social
