Well,… without deviation from the norm new traditions are not possible. I just found Philosophy Playtime is trying it. 😜 👍

Indeed.

'Better Angels of Our Nature: Why Violence Has Declined', Steven Pinker, 2011... 800 pages and full of peer reviewed data.

Most likely most people will never read it. Sad 😔

Indeed. Looking backward while trying to walk forward is the best way to stumble n fall.

“Little p philosophy is what all children do - they ask questions for the sake of asking questions. They wonder, and they don’t have a destination for their wondering.”

Classic ‘it depends’ is as important as ‘I don’t know’. Both trigger with intent the curious mind to understand, learn. Fun playtime indeed. ☺️

Really not bad around -1. We’ve had about 30cm snow over the last week. Which is not much for us.

Our chickens also participate in my version of #philosophy playtime. They’re very knowledgeable and wise. 🤣

Poutine is meaningless without them😁. I don't think he adequately thought this through.😜

No. Our moral disposition is universal and innate because it was selected by evolution as is our constructing meaning. Objectivity (science) allows for questioning, learning, understanding, constructing our world and our place in it. Why would that lead to meaninglessness of our lives?
