Great stories from all these 3LBE folks. Happy to have one make it. That one drew heavily on a Seamus Heaney poem in the opening, then warped from there. I edited it on phone from a hotel while skirting security in case they found out our youngest was 3yo not 2, per certain rules. Anyway, Old Wells.

And yes, I know the novella market has changed and awards focus is on novellas that appear as standalone books from medium to large publishers but I (obviously) still love publishing and reading novellas as meaty offerings in magazines and anthologies and I hope enough people still do too.
