Jam is having such a hard molt right now. Not ready for winter yet at all. I suppose her being broody all fall must have delayed her molt?

Age of Monsters: Atomic: Kaiju parasites dossier. At the top there are jars with various scale louse that live on kaiju hide and/or the deep ocean. They are all isopods of the same genus. Below to the left is the Springer, a jumping amphipod that lives on the kaiju Ziz. To the right is the Blood Worm which is a giant bloated bristle worm annelid that inhabits kaiju digestive tract and sewers with its young below and mouthparts extended.

It's taken me 13 years to get yeast rolls almost right.
Yeast rolls I baked after I graduated college in 2012 and started trying to learn how to cook. Herb butter yeast rolls that I cooked today. They rose for too long and kind of deflated by the time the turkey was finally done and I could bake them. Good browning on the top and they were actually done in the middle. Tried out a recipe that called for avocado oil, which was a new one for me.

I'm not sure which was better between last year's and this year's feast. All I know is that I'm tired.
Our dinner table last year on top and this year on bottom showing various Thanksgiving dishes. Last year I cooked myself a salmon as my main and this year I did a tofurky roast. The turkey was bigger and I didn't let the herbs get as burned this year. I tried out premade nut and cookie crusts for the pies this time but I still used roasted black futsu pumpkins to make my own puree.

Well my boy cats are really good about leaving a brooder alone, but the main thing is to keep it in a room that the mammals can't get into unless you're there to supervise. Then cats aren't a concern once the chickens are big, but depending on the dog they might always need a solidly fenced run.
The chicks were being needy so I brought them in the house so I could check on them more often, and Zuko appreciated the warmth of the heat lamp. Zuko checking out the progress of the chicks in their intermediate cage / brooder. I never let him out of my sight with the wire cages because he can reach in. Zuko leading his mostly grown chicks grazing.

I've only tried to make a hen adopt a chick she didn't hatch once and that was because she became broody a while after I decided to let them hatch eggs. I put a mostly hatched egg under her and it happened to be one of her own eggs, worked out very well. I'd be afraid to introduce if they're older.

They're the most entertaining lol. I have some I adopted as adults but I prefer buying them as chicks or letting them hatch their own. Here's some of my previous years' babies.
My easter eggers as chicks that I preordered from the feed store. Roadrunner with her babies that she co-brooded with my turkey Linda. My Whiting True Blue chicks Raven and Blue along with my Dominant Copper chick Copper that I preordered from the feed store. The male muscovy ducklings that my chicken hen Toast hatched but then rejected so I had to hand raise. The one on the right is Nibbler who I still have, the other failed to thrive.

Also Peach has grown such big spurs. Definitely takes after her father. She was the least aggressive of all of his offspring and the only one that could stay in the flock because of that, yet still huge spurs for a hen.
Hybrid offspring of Hei Hei the gamecock and Roadrunner the Welsummer hen that we named Peach due to her peachy colored feathers.

Evidently my hens Smartypants and One-Eye are closer than I thought.
Three of my hens standing in the run while I was hanging out with them. Smartypants must think it's a little cold and stood underneath One-Eye for warmth. I didn't know these two were this friendly with one another. My brown leghorn hen stands silently judging me for peeping.

So lately I've been messaging my partner right when I wake up so I don't forget my dream. They're pretty standard dream slush where I can pinpoint why I'm dreaming about each thing, but they're very vivid.
Facebook messages on Sunday morning where I say "had a dream during my nap that they were holding a big impromptu haunted house in the old apple house building but it was in November and they were pretending it was a christmas store and they had really elaborate roller coasters and I accidentally wasn't aware you steer the direction they go and we bumped into another one and then later there was a poke place in it and it was a grocery store / hotel" and then he answers me about 20 minutes later saying, "Weird one." Facebook messages today at 9:42 am. I say, "Vivid dream Chris had a huge attic all stone with fire coming out of the air vents and a big fireplace that had too much fire and revealed the animated skeletons of vamptires" He then answers me, "Your having weird dreams" and I reply, "Remembering them, dreams standard"

Ebirah as a mutated gigantic pistol shrimp. It is a vibrant cadmium red and shown in a standing pose. There are abilities and pairings between it and Godzilla Extreme illustrated around the sides of the concept sheet. Being a pistol shrimp, Ebirah's most powerful ability is his giant oversized claw. Capable of being used on both in the water and land, using the claw in the water is far more dangerous. The power output is estimated to be billions of times more powerful than the average pistol shrimp. The other claw is significantly smaller, but still dangerous. The insides of the claw are lined with numerous spiked teeth used for gripping and stabbing prey.

The aurora from earlier tonight outside of Spokane, Washington in my light polluted yard. You could clearly see the magenta with the naked eye.
