My touring play this week goes to L.A. Harbor College. Last week it was performed at Grant High School. East West Players taking the story of two undocumented students directly to students. TY to Grant High School Asian Pacific Islander Club for gifting my cast flowers & pastries from Portos.

AN ILLEGAL FEAST reading and poetry workshop with the L.A- based collaorators. Devised and road-tested a way to share the E.E. King collaborative poetry process with my local community. A small but mighty group for the library's inaugural poetry event!!

My play about undocumented student activists "Tam Tran Goes to Washington" was again in the O.C...this time at Samueli Academy, Santa Ana. With middle school and high school students in attendance. Shoutout to the cast and touring crew of this East West Players revivial!

Been ages since I was in a cineplex, not an indie screening room. Fancy! Pleather reclining seats, wide seats, wide aisles, pivoting wooden table like elementary school. Gigantic drinks from concessions. Incredible sound. LIving room experience in public. Only thing not changed, the many trailers!

Awww...when a non-poetry person buys your poetry. At a mini hi-skool reunion, Joe told me he bought "An Illegal Feast" and reading a few poems at a time...Joe is a retired elementary school principal who can't stay retired, he's teaching immigrants to pass the citizenship test. TY & YAY, Joe!

High skool multi-year reunion!! I knew no one, no one knew me, until I saw the friendly face of Mark B, who was the Aztec sports editor! Then Camille, gurl was recruited by colleges to play volleyball. Della too on that team. Robin on the drill team, Missy & Hugo, both student council. What a night!
