I'm watching Grantchester right now! This series has great actors playing great characters.

I like the old cars too.

My favorite characters: Sylvia McGuire and Leonard Finch.

It's a British mystery series with quirky characters.

It was my good fortune to see and hear Little Richard in Huntsville, Alabama, where he went to Oakwood College and where he was buried. www.findagrave.com/memorial/209...

This short article sums up why unions never gained a foothold in Alabama.

I never heard of a lynching in self-defense before.

Cops lie to suspects. "It will be better for you to confess...."

Cole is an adult, so he doesn't have a right to have his parents present during interrogation.

There are so many weird things about this arrest. The New York Post says that this photo is of the suspect.

Sen. Merkley (born October 24, 1956) of Oregon is 69 years old. His primary opponent is Jacob Ryan.

Ryan's website says that he will be "Loyal to the People, Not a Party." Reference is made to "our current geriatric politicians."

He's vague about his work experience.

I liked the SCOTUS ruling that said Alabama must have districts that resulted in the election of another Black and Democratic representative. We have seven districts. White supremacists want 6/7 of the districts for themselves.

Anyone who heard me this afternoon about 3 pm would know that I have an extensive "bad word" vocabulary. Fortunately, I was the only one home. Oh wait, Alexa was listening.

Thanks. I found a link.

It seems that all the states which have this tend to prefer Democrats.

This is the first time today that someone has provided a link to an article about the photo of a dental chair. Thank you.

I could post an unidentified photo of a weird chair online, write Epstein underneath it, and it would go viral.

@al.com put this article behind a paywall. Non-subscribers need to know that the government of Alabama wants to kill an innocent man.

A federal judge ordered a new trial. The State of Alabama appealed that order.

Cher and Sonny divorced in 1978. Each were awarded 50% of Sonny's composition royalties for songs such as I Got You Babe and The Beat Goes On. Sonny's last wife Mary wanted some of that money but didn't get it.

If you wish to avoid the paywall:

I only practiced in state courts, and the statutes of limitations weren't issues.

Ms. Elkin made it necessary to look up definitions again. I knew the first definition from the Episcopal Church. Now I know the second definition.

Bombshell declassified docs reveal Nazi ‘Angel of Death’ (SS Commander Josef Mengele) was allowed to live carefree life after Auschwitz horrors. He went from Italy to Argentina, to Paraguay, to Brazil.

Israeli news sources revealed this in May 2025.

By the Democratic majority. Barry Goldwater and GOP leaders went to Nixon and told him that his support on the hill was dwindling.

One way to learn: stories. We need better storytelling in the USA, with Natives playing Natives! Old B&W films rarely cast natives. A low point was when an Italian surnamed man played a crying Indian in a anti-littering ad. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Ey...

We have mounds and a community named Moundville. I understand that the mounds used to be piled high with significant stuff. I last went to Moundville in 1981. It looks like it's been landscaped since then.

There was a tiny museum.

I had no idea that Vicksburg is now majority Black.

We have a similar situation in Bessemer AL. City leaders signed non-disclosure agreements. Why? They can't tell us.

The painting is real. It was done for a graduate school assignment. The artist said it was about "how opposition parties caricature presidents."

Jeffrey Epstein's ownership of the painting has not been confirmed.

I suppose that handling these objects helps people focus their minds.

Some people get that feeling from holding weapons or money. Those things can make people feel miserable.

Roses and rosaries are harmless. If they help you, use them!

I'm happy for people to practice the religion (or none) of their choice (except for Scientology because that is a tax scam and a cult). This is the weirdest thing I've encountered. The juvenile court judge I was assigned to did not come to court one day because he went to see this saint appear.
