I started hand-carving stamps this month. I don't really remember how I got into it -- I just thought it looked cool and impulse-bought a beginner's kit -- and it's been a ton of fun. I'm still learning how everything works but getting things wrong just makes me want to do more

I learned how to do this wire knit yesterday and now it's all I can think about. I have to do more. I'm going to lay waste to the craft store this weekend. (This happens every time I learn a new craft and then my house fills up with craft supplies)
A short band of woven brass wire. This is commonly called Viking knit. I've dug around a little and it seems like there's some historical grounding for the name but I'm still in search of examples.

in just two weeks Jinx (former stray now living with my parents) went from "will not emerge from under the furniture for anything" to "world's most annoying beast who loves to wedge herself under your feet while you're walking just in case you didn't hear her nonstop chirping"

Your banana bread looked so good that this post set off a whole domino effect of me doing stuff to take care of myself (dishes, going outside to the store, other impossible things) so I could make mini lemon breads. You made banana bread so good it fixed someone else's mental health. (Thank you!)

I still need to get a plant for the third planter
Three planters, all shaped like the pokemon Bulbasaur. The rightmost and middle bulbasaurs are simple bulbasaur shapes, uniform in sage green color, with small succulents planted in their backs. The third is larger than the other two, and fully detailed as a bulbasaur, with red eyes and darker green splotches.

A panel from the webcomic Barbarous by Ananth Hirsh and Yuko Ota. It features a long beat panel showing the mantel in Leeds's apartment (god I'd kill for his apartment btw). Resting on it, between a small statuette of a bull (which looks like one of the ones your grandma gives you for your zodiac year) and a houseplant is the copper helmet he wore in chapter 5; this helmet has broken horns and a really intriguing patina along the horns and edges, as though those bits were exposed to liquid in a way the other bits weren't.
