Thanks hun. Things with the insurance seem to be moving on well. Can’t take my car to the garage till the 23rd as they don’t have a courtesy car till then but they confirmed that my car is still safe to drive so I’ll be ok as is for a couple of weeks.

17 years of driving before my first accident is pretty good going really. I’m ok, a sore knee and a headache and more annoyed with myself for such a silly mistake and how there’s gonna be a load of paperwork

Swapped info with the driver & called my insurance when I got home so got the ball rolling. Think my car’s safe to drive but the left headlight has popped out & the bumper’s scratched. The other driver’s bumper was scratched too & it’s a company car which’ll probably be awkward but oh well!

I rear ended a car at a roundabout on the way home from work because I thought I saw them move off but they hadn’t. It wasn’t that bad, barely going a couple mph, but it was a shock & I whacked my knee on the dash & now I’m getting a headache but I think that’s more due to the stress than an injury

Saw this on tumblr a while ago and I feel like it speaks some truth.

I rewatch LotR every Christmas Eve (or as close to it as possible) as I originally saw the films in the cinema on Christmas Eve for 3 years so it’s now intrinsically linked to the the festive season.
