Today is World AIDS Day. Here's in remeberence of all we lost, love to all those living their lives, celebration of the massive research and treatment gains and a reminder to NEVER be complacent because the horrendous cutting of funding by Trump has already cost lives and dented scientific progress.

I've moved to the sea to regain some health. The news reports huge numbers out of work and on benefits due to sickness and disability, I scream at the radio that if there were actually proper ME/CFS services I would have recovered more by now and not still be enduring this shit while claiming PIP 🤬🤬

Doom and gloom post, I realise but I almost daily use Pubmed in my job and this banner has been up for the last week. Combined with more news of the utter gutting of US science and health, I've had Roy Batty's famous Blade Runner speech in my head today: "All this will be lost, like tears in rain"

A couple of years ago I kicked up a mighty stink in Croydon IKEA because they didn't have wheelchair trolleys. I complained on the day then wrote to the manager of Croydon and the head of IKEA UK. They now have multiple wheelchair trolleys. Activism isn't just about getting out on the streets!

Staggered that @kingsplacelondon.bsky.social a venue I love as both a gig goer and performer could be so awful to allow an arms conference sponsored by Lockheed Martin on their premises. Here's a link to plead with them to stop this. I will boycott them until they do

As a regularly misgendered teenager, it was annoying but not dangerous. There are now 'masculine' women being thrown out of 'women only' spaces because real women have long hair, wear make-up and real women clothes, are petite, with small waists and big boobs. Real women STFU and listen to real men.
