How on earth does Israel fit into this? Israel is at this point a vassal state of the US, but in no way does it affect the sovereignty of any European country.

Not really servitude. It’s a natural alliance. Trump embraces Putin’s idea of regime - an oligarchic fascist ethnostate that controls its neighbors by force. He envies Putin’s ability to throw opponents out of high windows. Trump wants to be a tsar too.

They didn’t do it by choice. They collapsed. Trump is willfully, deliberately, dismantling the American empire. He is turning against allies and conceding influence in 3/4 of the world to Russia and China.
