There's no better alternative to recycling. Metals are mined; food, wood, & paper are harvested; & plastics manufactured. All our "uses" have impacts. The proper choice is to use wisely. Recycling is a PART of that wise use, since we can't entirely stop using anymore than we can stop breathing.

True, but it would be better to say "people claiming to be Christian." So many, then, and today, claim to be Christian but fail to follow the tenets of the Christian faith. Certainly, there is nothing Christian about committing such atrocities. So why do we let these people claim to be Christian?
