What the shutdown did is it made them own it, pubicly, painfully

Remember that real people have been suffering, starving, losing homes as a result of this shutdown

The average voter isn't going to think "dems caved" in 2026. They're going to think "GOP took my health care." Dems now have a much stronger play for senate control
