Leveraging innovations like AI can help accelerate the fight against #HIV.

But only if these tools are truly serving people living with HIV.

Dr. Doris Macharia kicked off the "Real-World Evidence of AI in the HIV Cascade" session at #ICASA2025 with a mini-keynote address, discussing the guardrails nations must consider when scaling up these powerful tools.

"The more we can think about the mother-baby pair... the evidence that we generate at the primary healthcare level and elsewhere will actually inform us on the decisions we need to make."

What would Elizabeth say?

38 years ago, when Elizabeth and her friends started the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, people were ignoring the needs of children living with HIV.

Today, due to global funding cuts, children living with HIV are at risk of being forgotten again.

Why wouldn’t you fight HIV?

For pregnant women living with HIV, prevention care can help them have HIV-free babies. That is pretty transformative!

Transformation means solving the once impossible.

An HIV diagnosis used to be a death sentence, especially for children. But today, thanks to lifesaving treatment, children born with HIV can live full, healthy lives.

Why wouldn’t you join the fight against pediatric HIV?

What does transformation look like? Like this ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️

When women have access to prevention of mother-to-child transmission services (#PMTCT), they can transform their babies’ future and protect them from HIV.

No child should die from a preventable and curable disease.
At EGPAF, we are focused on closing the gaps for children by transforming pediatric tuberculosis (TB) prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and elimination.
