Why do they give seriously morally bereft "solutions" any airtime? Putin is not trying to win, but to exhaust them and make it so they will settle for anything he wants just to get it over with. So when they bring Putin to the table, they are going to get this unethical immoral demand from him.

A source told CNN that negotiators are discussing “a possible scenario in which Ukraine would effectively be barred from joining the U.S.-led Western military alliance via arrangements that would have to be negotiated directly between NATO member states and Moscow.”
