Gold star bisexual, living on Wurundjeri land. I’ve got that taste in my mouth again?
Tfw you realise you were just convenient, not important.

I have fairly mild long COVID and what that means in practice is that I can work but have no ability to socialise, I can do 5000 steps but have to come home with crushing fatigue and sleep for hours to recover, I volunteer for two hours a fortnight when I used to do volunteer work every day.
People with mild ME/Long Covid & people who have recovered, please start advocating for the most severe instead of mildwashing the disease & using your story to sell your personal projects while feeding the media narrative of “individual overcoming” 🙏

Winter has been so hard on my mind and body this year. Commuting in single digit temps in the dark while my body is already struggling with chronic fatigue and inflammation has been exhausting. Bring on warmer weather.

I rewatched all of Penny Dreadful just knowing how bad the ending is, that’s me in a nutshell.

Less rare than you think: you make a very difficult decision, and then when you check in on that decision some months down the track (to make sure it was valid and is still needed), you realise that it remains a very good and very necessary decision.

I’m planning to trade in my car really soon and TODAY I scraped the whole side of it along a concrete bollard. I absolutely fkn hate myself.

Today was just one of those days that everything went wrong at work. Holy moly.

Thinking back to 🚩moments and wondering how I could have let so much go.

I’ve cracked my molar from clenching my teeth so hard, good times!

Trying quite hard to engage with the world (but it’s hard to stay afloat and every interaction I have these days feels like a rock around my ankles).

Alas, Harry Fong is a candidate for Qld so I couldn’t vote my displeasure directly, but luckily Bernie Finn was on my ballot and I took significant delight in putting him dead last.

It’s just come into coat season and I pulled one out of my cupboard and dashed to get my train, forgetting the cats like to hide in the cupboard when visitors come. It looks like I have a white stripe on the bottom right side of my black coat, hahaha, oh no.

I’ve been reading more about rejection sensitivity dysphoria and realising it’s much broader than I thought it was and how much I identify with nearly every aspect of it. Oh no.

The week was long and I am so tired, but I made it through and can even manage a little cleaning today. This is what a manageable day with long covid looks like - being pleased that I can do the bare minimum.

People who tap their nails on products while showing them to you are THE DEVIL. Gtfoh with your ASMR bollocks.

My favourite thing about IWD while working in government is that there’s so many women in positions of authority that I’m not personally responsible for organising anything.

I left twitter in September 2023 because a long time acquaintance made a post about how the World Rugby blanket ban on trans players was a good initiative to ‘protect women’. It was just the last straw in a torrent of transphobic nonsense that escalated dramatically post the X takeover.
