Indeed. I do see females, but vast majority drakes and that is partly as in captivity you only need one drake for several females

I dont think its unbelievable, its not fundamentally different to a labrador or Rhode island hen, note release IS already illegal, escapes are not, compliance and regulation low

On several occasions drake ornamentals turn up in the wild a few weeks after they are advertised online - its agriculture- if you dont want or have space or can't sell them you must be willing to do the difficult thing - releases are illegal and poor for the birds

Loads. I am fairly sure they should be ringed but the rules are vague and certainly unenforceable. Loads in East Anglia too - nb I still dont buy the Abberton canvasback narrative- stating lack of ring is not evidence
