I ordered a modern power supply (Triad), which seems like a good thing to have even if I replace the console. I'm now considering picking up an SNES Jr., which I always kind of wanted anyway. :) I believe my wife has an SNES I can also use in the interim.

I don't see a RAM test on 240p, but the power supply could be involved. I'd unplugged the SNES, but I plugged it in to try the test suite--and it didn't turn on. I fussed with the cable and it eventually came on; could be the old AC adaptor or the jack. I now remember it not powering on once before.

Yeah, and then it started working again for the boss fight, and then the stage was glitched again when I continued. I'll open it up as soon as I have a chance.

Thanks! I'll check the pins. The Burn-in Test Cart worked at first, but it failed the second time during the graphics tests, as seen with this Super NES test cart: bsky.app/profile/ecmy...
I ran the Nintendo Super NES Test Menu, and it glitched out as well. I'll try opening this thing up over the weekend to look for bad caps. I think I'm using an OEM power supply but I'll double check and try to swap it for another too.

Oh wait--after trying Actraiser again and it glitching out, I ran the test again, and this time it failed. Stuck on a pink screen with some garbage at the bottom.

Ran Ver 1.03 and everything seemed to pass. It ran through the whole Burn-In TEST fine and all the graphics tests looked normal. But the error is still happening with games. 🤔

The Super EverDrive menu works, but when I load a game, it glitches out. Star Fox is a mess right from the start; Actraiser, Adv of Batman and Robin, and Castlevania IV look fine on the start screen but become garbled as soon as you press start. Weirdly the Super Game Boy 2 seems to work as usual.

It's a shame because this is the SNES I got for my mom a long time ago, and it's a 1-CHIP revision. Now I ponder whether I should try to get it repaired, replace it with another SNES, or just stick with MiSTer from here on...
