ZOOTOPIA 2: Failing to creatively expand the playfulness of its predecessor, it's a sequel jammed with references to classics of cinema, painfully basic puns it keeps beating you over the head with, characters built around a single gag, and little else 📽️

Sorry kids, but #StrangerThings5 is off to a rough beginning of the end. The final season of the hit Netflix series has the longest episodes, but also the most painfully clunky dialogue. It only makes one nostalgic for its start nearly a decade ago 📺

BREAKING: Tom Mara is out as Executive Director at SIFF, closing a tumultuous year for the local arts organization. The news was announced today to staff and a search for a replacement is now set to begin sometime in 2026 📽️

THE RUNNING MAN: Glen Powell gives his all, but Edgar Wright’s letdown of a Stephen King adaptation is caught in a losing game all its own. Wright may have made it out with some money, but at the cost of becoming just another anonymous hired gun director📽️

Text from a review of DIE MY LOVE in TheWrap that reads: There is no one who can cast a spell quite like Lynne Ramsay. Be it in a portrait of a mother reeling from the fact that her son committed a violent act or a study of the world’s loneliest mercenary who gets caught up in a conspiracy, it’s less about the “what” of the story than the manner in which she tells it. Her latest, the confined “Die, My Love’ starring Robert Pattinson and Jennifer Lawrence as a loving couple whose world begins to rapidly unravel, is no different. A film that falls again under the banner of “domestic horror” like “We Need to Talk About Kevin, “Die, My Love” is about seeing the way a small crack in the psyche can splinter outwards until everything shatters. While not always as measured as her past work and often a little rough around the edges on a technical level, the moments where Ramsay strips away all the noise to immerse us in the more unsettling experiential elements makes it a welcome return for the filmmaker.
