another victim of this is handwriting. I've seen kids' handwriting these days and become a STAUNCH advocate of bringing back mandatory handwriting classes through at least middle school

Mini ramekins are the best pinch bowls. I keep my cooking salt (Diamond Crystal of/c) in one next to the stovetop.

It is not an exceptional feature among the wretched hive of scum and villainy that is the nyt columnists' bullpen, but I firmly believe that on a fundamental level, brooks is just an ideological moron. Insulated from the consequences of his dogshit opinions for too long to have any grasp on reality

The Hölderlin was the one that stuck out to me. I've read *a* book by Hölderlin (*Hyperion*), and while I enjoyed it, he has never come up in the near decade it's been since I took the class that assigned it. Like, how many people does this guy ask if they've read Hölderlin answer affirmatively?

Hah! I read notification preview for your reply which went up to 'center of mass for the solar system', and immediately thought, 'so, the sun then?' haha! But that is a very fun fact about the barycenter. Thanks for the reply!

The sun and her planets:

Is the default frame of reference for 'speed' in the solar system the sun? I know there was that solar probe that was going like .064c relative to the surface of that ol' ball o' fire.

yeouch, teeth out and nothing but advil? the valium didn't help much with the pain but it DID help out with the incredibly visceral sound of getting teeth pulled out of one's jaw.
August 15, 2025 at 7:49 PM
yeah! I've never been given a valium for doing paperwork. I have been given ALL SORTS of fun stuff for getting teeth out.
