What I find funny is I acknowledged that USUALLY people are biased to think everyone is more similar to us than they really are. But I claimed this was an exception.

Hmmm! This comes close. But I still can't see an explicit endorsement. My reading is that this isn't using the same breakdown of the problem I was "knowing what people want" vs "wanting to do what people want", but directly reasoning about "what the AI wants".
