MOM: I know! My friend sent me this crazy post where someone used AI to make an image of a giant frog fighting Army troops!
ME: ... okay, no, that one's ... goddamit, Portland.

me: Explain.

When I was a child, I felt and acted more autistic.
It wasn’t subtle. The traits were there, raw, unfiltered, obvious. I didn’t have the words for it, but I knew I was different. 1/7

I'm sorry Canada
This plan is about cutting back the postal service instead of investing to give it new revenue tools through things like postal banking. It’s shameful.

ME: Oh absolutely. For example I'm making up this imaginary interview that refers to itself. See how it works?
CHOTINER: Right, so that covers the "self-referential" part.

AI doesn't know things, any things. Therefore it is not capable of knowing that it does not know.
The idea that it is deciding what is worse not knowing or lying, is again giving it human understanding that it does not have.
In general I hate that "I don't know" is way way worse than lying now?? Bullshitting something and hoping you get away with it is valued more than admitting something is out of your league
That when a model generates bullshit, that’s no flaw, that’s just how it works.
