Here to say 👋 and to find respite from tiresomeness 😊

Saved by His grace. Odd-wheels cycling, ⛷, Emergency Med, education and teaching.
He is pretty fast, tbf. He ran away once - was missing for 3 weeks. I say ‘ran’; in reality he dug under a raised garden shed 1 metre away until he had finished a nice long nap, then came out for sunshine.

I read that as ‘parents’ at first, and wondered who asks their parents to make an appointment! 🤣

Ah, sorry. Long thread and I didn’t go back far enough.
In which case I’m not sure. What I do know is that it is proving hugely effective. Sorry I can’t really help. Best wishes

Hi - sorry; been asleep at the wheel over Christmas. If you are eligible you can book one through the NHS app. The pharmacy where you usually pick up asthma meds will, I’d hope, just give you a flu vaccine on request.

Practice with small amounts. A good local roaster will help you understand what you like. Speciality coffee has a huge range of flavours and you will have a huge range of tastes and it depends on your day, your mood, and more besides.
Enjoy trying, and don’t give up. We all mess up 🙂.

Most importantly, don’t blame yourself. Find out what works by experimenting. Grind too coarse and push through after 1-2 minutes will taste sour. Too fine, and leave too long and it will taste bitter. You can’t fix either with sugar/ sweetener.

French press is reliable. Coffee in, add water just off the boil (97-93°C).
Stir well for 10s. Rest for 4min. Scoop grounds of the top and bin. Just what scoops out - no need to be too meticulous.
Press slowly, then drink promptly. Any left in for much longer will taste bitter.

Freshly ground if you can (no more than 5 min for espresso, half an hour for French press)
If no grinder, keep ground coffee in the dark in the fridge (can you be certain the light goes out when you close the door? 😂)
60g of coffee / litre of water - and filter the water if your supply is hard

Well, having been touted as being able to help, I’ll suggest these steps:
Can you find good coffee beans nearby? Maybe a local roaster. Talk to them about what you like and dislike.
Freshly roast (no more than a month or so)

First Christmas after getting married I got something functional for the kitchen as a Christmas present for my wife.
That was what I later learned was called a learning moment! I never made that mistake again 😆

A gull enjoying the beach …

Sunrise at Maroubra beach NSW - I guess the beach isn’t visible so I’ll add that next.

All bets off for a rare limited. I got bored of the guy after a couple of minutes. No spindle marks? No, you won’t find them on my vinyl either 😀
2-300?

Original version - maybe 50-60. There was a re-issue a few years later which would be less. Great album.
