The time axis is divided into parties that formed the provincial government, and the Education Ministers are listed chronologically. The chart shows a far higher funding commitment under the Alberta NDP than either the previous Progressive Conservatives or current United Conservatives, but the precipitous drop under the current UCP is shocking. The email from which the chart comes says: "From the start, Alberta’s New Democrats funded education per student above the national average while in government. In fact, those figures are still higher today than what the UCP funds now, almost a decade later–including inflation."
