Our female lead - Terry Moore ("Alison Ford") appeared in *both* versions of "Mighty Joe Young" (1949 and the 1998 remake). Naturally, she also played one of The Joker's molls on Batman ("Venus" - reformed!).
She will turn 97 years young in January.

Mildred's maid is played by Butterfly McQueen (uncredited). I've often wonder how Mildred could afford a maid so soon after taking a waitress job (The tips were very large I guess.)

Veda is one of the few movie "villains" that makes me want to take a brick and throw it at my TV ... and that speaks to just how brilliantly Ann Blyth plays it.

Sam Jaffe appreciation post. I first saw him in "The Day the Earth Stood Still" - he played the Einstein type character Professor Jacob Barnhardt that Klaatu connects with.

There is so many neo-noirs that I have yet to see, but among my favorites are BODY HEAT (1981), THE LAST SEDUCTION (1992) and LA CONFIDENTIAL (1997). Picking neo noirs is tricky since things have splintered in recent decades.

Tony (Nick Adams) was better behaved with "Miss Namikawa" (Kumi Mizuno) several years later! 😜
BTW: Adams co-starred in 3 Toho sci-fi films in the mid-1960s and (from everything that I've read) was very popular with his co-stars and crews.
