My base Golf Sportswagen is aesthetically lop sided. But the more up town models with the same engine got the fake duels.

They aren't by any means the worst e-bike manufacturer out there, but they certainly made their share of bad decisions and cut corners.

Using parts (like brakes) not fit for the weight / size of their bikes did not help their reputation.

It's really easy to tell on a cold day in the winter because of the exhaust vapours only coming out of one point.
