As of right now at least, I don't entirely see the Steam Machines fully taking up that console market space with Sony and Nintendo. At least not until we get into more details on price and Valve's long term plans for it.
But I can say with full certainty that its lasting longer than Xbox will.

The problem is Im not sure it really qualifies as doing a boycott when I never bought from them in the first place.

If everything was actually an Xbox I be able to play Banjo-Kazooie on a lot more things.
