It's actually still the perfect finisher to my piece (I haven't read the Blake thing in over a year, yet I used the same exact language he did in my final section!), but it's now way too complex a matter to write about in the little time I have.

Among the reasons I'm not publishing it was that the coup de grace was pulling in James Blake's rant about how normalizing streaming music has brainwashed people (rather than made distribution easier), but going back I saw that he actually included the whole GenAI music thing in his argument!!!

Also the moe song (the girl with the blue hair) is a bit of a left-field pick for me, but she is an actual 100% DIY artist and arguably needs money more than these other folks. The song is old, but she just released a video for it and it's really clever and doesn't use AI or nuthin'!

I went light this month because I just got the tariff bill for all the vinyl I'd pre-ordered this year... let's just say I should chill out on vinyl for a little bit.
