When omarchy started to get viral, I was puzzled about the tools chosen for network management. Everytime I tried something that wasn't GNOME or KDE, I found this to be a problem.

What I found was not surprising. They use "impala", a TUI that only controls wifi, but not VPNs.

Now THIS is what a customer-centric app is.

Most banks keep sending out warning emails about impersonation and scams.

Any app can implement this capability with a little coding + backend work (assuming their BE sensible enough): and yet Monzo is the first one I’ve heard do it.

What is worse in Deutsche Bahn?

- being late all the time
- using the default Docker network range in their WIFI

Just learned about ".nam" files. Already saw a few pedals/pedalboards supporting it.

Very clever from @anthropic.com to add this to the commit log, but it would be more fair that they also add dollars burned in the feature.

Can confirm: to generate action figures of friends.
Sam Altman says ChatGPT users had doubled in the past few weeks and that "10% of the world uses our systems", which would peg the number closer to 800M users (Martine Paris/Forbes)

Y en Canadá pasando lo impensado hace apenas un par de meses. Gracias al matonaje de Trump con el vecino, los liberales remontaron desde el 6 de enero en adelante y ahora las más recientes encuestas proyectan su victoria frente a los conservadores.

I am testing some AI code review tools.

My initial impression about signal vs noise is already negative.

Why would they enable ASCII art and poems by default?

While Bluesky has been a much nicer place than X. I have been enjoying the fediverse more lately.

People talk more about things I like and things I do vs what is happening in the world.

Amazon obviously doesn't trust Claude 3.7 to even update the documentation. What critical processes are you trusting it with?

Marketing hype is great, but watch what tech companies don't even use their own tech for.
I’m not suggesting this was a rushed release or anything but a huge amount of documentation / marketing pages on the AWS site still talk about 3.5 as the latest and best Anthropic model.
Anthropic's Claude 3.7 Sonnet is now available in Amazon Bedrock

Anthropic's Claude 3.7 Sonnet, now on Amazon Bedrock, offers quick responses and extended thinking. It excels in coding, math, and physics, with flexible modes and reasoning budgets for various tasks.

Got BIOS VGA signal from the motherboard external VGA port, which means I can test replacing the DALLAS DS1287 RTC without assembling the laptop.
